From red carpets to intimate sit-downs with some of the biggest names in entertainment, Jason Nathanson covers it all as the West Coast-based entertainment correspondent for ABC News Radio. On an average week you’ll find him everywhere from the latest Hollywood premiere to a court hearing involving the latest celebrity in trouble.
Those who have gone one-on-one with Nathanson include Morgan Freeman, Jeff Bridges, Stevie Nicks, Kristen Bell, Jon Hamm, Miss Piggy, Jimmy Kimmel and Kelly Clarkson, just to name a few. For ABC, he has broadcast live from every Oscar, Grammy and Emmy show since 2011.
Prior to joining ABC News, Nathanson found himself at the center of several major stories as a reporter, from southern California firestorms to the 2008 presidential conventions to hurricanes along the gulf Mexico. He has won numerous awards, including the Los Angeles Press Club top investigative award for a series on medical marijuana shops.
Nathanson studied Sociology and Journalism at the University of California at Santa Cruz. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, where he currently resides.
