Victor Canales, better known by millions as “Vic Latino,” is a triple threat of the radio industry. Holding the three titles of radio/deejay superstar, TV personality and entrepreneur. Vic proudly earned his status after achieving what few other radio personalities have ever accomplished. First he reached #1 status in the toughest and most lucrative market in radio, New York. During his very successful five year stint on WKTU-FM his daily prime time radio show reached #1 status in the toughest market to win in New York (Men between 25 – 54 years of age). His radio popularity also made him a favorite of TV producers and Vic regularly appeared on network TV (ABC, NBC, FOX), doing everything from hosting, to giving commentary on breaking entertainment stories & reviewing the hottest CD & DVD releases. Vic eventually landed an appearance on the Emmy Award winning ELLEN show where he dee-jayed and did the opening monologue with Ellen DeGeneres.
Vic Latino has not slowed down since leaving WKTU in 2007. He had a national radio show on XM Radio, and became a celebrity DJ for the Armani Exchange chain of stores. Now Vic Latino is enjoying the next phase of his already remarkable career. He returned to his Long Island roots when he and his business partner John Caracciolo formed JVC Media and purchased a radio empire consisting of WPTY Party 105FM, WBON La Fiesta 98.5FM, WJVC My Country 96.1FM & WRCN ROCK 103.9FM all on Long Island, and WTRS/WYGC My Country Fm, WBXY Party 99.5 FM, WMFQ Q92.9 FM, WXJZ Smooth 100.9 FM in Gainesville-Ocala Florida. His lucrative empire also includes the Pennysaver Amphitheater, an amazing open air Venue which holds 7,000 people in Farmingville, NY.
Along with his very successful career in radio, Vic has also become a very successful club DJ / Producer. Known within the music industry as the man with the golden ear to pick a hit, (a distinction NY Newsday also gave him when he graced the cover of their Impulse @ Night entertainment section), record executives kept approaching Vic about releasing a series of CDs with a collection of the hottest songs he predicted to be future club hits. To date he has released 10 very successful Dance/Electronica CDs, all of which have either been #1 or in the Top 5 on the BILLBOARD Dance/Electronica Charts. He has been signed to the biggest dance music label in the world ULTRA Records. Vic is currently touring with NBA superstar and celebrity deejay Dennis Rodman.
